My Values
Head Heart Hand Therapy: Integrating thought feeling and body.
A painting teacher once told me all great art needs the head, heart, and hand.
I bring that same wisdom to therapy: true healing happens when we integrate what we think, what we feel, and what our bodies know. Grounded in Gestalt therapy and an artist’s respect for the process, I offer a space to slow down, honour your natural cycles and rediscover the magic of living fully as your authentic self.
My Story
My heart has always belonged to the visual arts, but my path to psychotherapy began my eldest child was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. Driven by a desire to understand and support them, I immersed myself in the world of neurodiversity, returning to school and working in various research labs.
While I valued the science, I soon realised I missed the human connection. I wanted to work with people, not just study them. This realisation led me to the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. Much like my artistic background, Gestalt therapy is deeply experiential, focusing on the “process” of change rather than just the outcome.
Today I bring my artistic sensitivity and psychological knowledge together to support you, helping you integrate your thoughts, emotions, and body into a cohesive whole.
My Approach
I use my combined gestalt and art training to experiment with different ways to help you express yourself.
Gestalt is a relational, embodied, experiential and experimental approach to therapy.
I focus on what’s happening right now in the room, in your body, in your relationship with me - because the present moment holds the keys to understanding how you relate to yourself and others.
I don’t focus on the past, but encourage you to notice how old patterns show up here, in how you speak, sit, move or respond with me and with relationships in your life. Some patterns still serve you while others may be holding you back. Together, we will explore what to keep, what to release and what to transform.
This is embodied work. I pay attention not just to your words but how you say them, your posture, tone, gestures and breath. Your body holds wisdom. We will gently explore sensations and feelings as they arise.
It is also experiential and experimental: we might use drawing, movement, role-play, or other experiments to access parts of your story that words can’t reach. These experiments are invitations - not demands. You are always in charge. If something doesn’t work for you, we will adjust.
Above all, this is collaborative. I am here with you, not to fix you, but to walk with you until you feel confident navigating your life with more awareness, choice and presence.
