Group therapy can offer an affordable, accessible way to explore interpersonal themes through a shared, present-moment experience. These process-oriented groups focus on observing how we relate to one another in real time, allowing us to notice and work through recurring patterns as they emerge.
Group therapy offers a unique way to experiment with new ways of connecting in a safe, supportive environment. You will gain insight into your impact on others, understand what holds you back from connection, and practice navigating these dynamics with guidance.
Fees and timing will vary by group size and duration.
Reduced rates available for students or those facing financial difficulties.
Payments can be made via e-transfer or cash (for in-person sessions).
Your Questions, Answered

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. I leave a buffer between appointments, as Gestalt therapy follows the flow of your experience. If something important or intense arises near the end, I’m happy to extend slightly so you don’t feel rushed or cut off. My priority is that you leave feeling grounded and complete, honouring your pace and the natural rhythm of your process.

Gestalt therapy is a relational, experiential approach that focuses on the present moment. Rather than analyzing the past, it helps you understand current patterns, what still supports you, and where you may feel stuck.
-
This therapy explores how you relate to others by paying attention to how you relate in session. It also includes an embodied approach - bringing awareness to body language, tone, and physical sensations alongside what you say.
-
Sessions are collaborative and may include conversation as well as creative, experiential exercises. These are always optional and designed to help you explore emotions, patterns, and non-verbal experiences in a supportive way.
-
With so many approaches available, a good place to start is asking yourself what you hope to gain. Some therapies are solution-focused, offering practical tools to manage specific challenges. Others, like Gestalt therapy, are more process-oriented, focusing on present-moment experience and deeper exploration rather than fixing. If a structured approach feels too rigid, you may benefit from a more relational space that honours your own insight and pace.
The most important element, however, is the connection between you and your therapist. I encourage you to book a brief consultation to ask questions and notice how you feel in their presence. Trust your intuition, feeling comfortable and heard is the foundation for meaningful work.

Because therapy is a deeply personal journey, there is no single timeline for change. The pace is yours. Some clients seek support for specific challenges, while others move into a slower, deeper exploration. The shifts you experience often reflect your readiness and engagement.
We adjust our work session by session, based on what you need in the moment. Growth can sometimes feel uncomfortable before it brings relief, and in Gestalt therapy this is seen as a sign you are touching something real and meaningful. These moments are temporary and part of the process.
As a general guide, many people begin to settle in after about three sessions. This time helps build trust and clarity, creating a foundation for deeper work.
-
When beginning our work, I usually suggest meeting once a week. This helps build trust and maintain momentum, creating a consistent space where you feel supported as you navigate new terrain.
As you begin to feel more grounded, we can space sessions further apart. Therapy isn’t a rigid schedule, but a flexible resource that adapts to your life. We can always adjust the frequency based on what you need.
-
I believe our time together should support your life, not add to its demands. Some clients prefer a regular weekly appointment on the same day and time, while others choose to book session to session with more flexibility. I’m comfortable with either, and we’ll find what feels most sustainable for you.
At the end of each session, I’ll usually check in about what feels right for the coming week. If you need to reschedule or cancel, that’s completely understandable. I simply ask for 24 hours’ notice when possible, so the time can be offered to someone else while respecting our shared commitment.
